Candy Hearts are OLD!! Your great grandparents probably got green and blue tongues too! Wikipedia for the win again: Oliver R. Chase invented a machine in 1847 to cut lozenges from wafer candy, similar to Necco Wafers, and started a candy factory. Daniel Chase, Oliver’s brother, began printing sayings on the candy in 1866. He designed a machine that was able to press on the candy similar to a stamp. The candy was often used for weddings since the candies had witty saying such as: “Married in pink, he will take a drink”, “Married in White, you have chosen right”, and “Married in Satin, Love will not be lasting”.
A long time ago, in an SL sim far away, Jezebele Dagger asked me to write her a music box class… well in those days that meant lots of prims, and three scripts for students to work with (2010-style) and it was an adorable class, with three fishies chasing each other around a round cylinder prim which rotated only the texture… About 3 years ago I taught a “Rotating Ballerina Music Box” class where we spun a single prim with a texture on it… Fast forward to today – mesh is everything – this time we’re spinning a new mesh heart on a new mesh base … and making a mesh key spin! Special trick for getting the rotating objects back to zero again!!
